Since the end of February and during the next 2 months we count with the presence of Giovanna Romano<\/a> at Sea4Us. Giovanna is a Researcher from the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station, Italy. The visit of this scientist, specialist in chemical ecology and marine biotechnology, is concerning the Ocean Medicines project<\/strong><\/a>, a Marie Curie RISE project that provides close contact between academic institutions and companies in Europe.<\/p>\n

We hope to test the analgesic potential of extracts of marine microorganisms grown in the laboratory by Giovanna’s research group in the models developed by Sea4Us. On the other hand, it is a privilege to be able to count on Giovanna’s experience in the production of marine natural compounds and the isolation of bioactive substances here at our laboratory.<\/p>\n
