Sea4Us is a company dedicated to transforming marine resources into innovative therapeutic solutions, focusing on bioactive compounds for unmet clinical needs, such as chronic pain and neuropathies. It has developed extraction and optimization methodologies for natural compounds, validated in a pre-clinical context and with strong potential for pharmaceutical application.
As part of its innovation strategy, Sea4Us has been developing the S072 molecule, an innovative marine-derived analgesic with a non-opioid mechanism of action, intended for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic pain.
With the BlueFlow project, the company is taking a critical step in the transition from research to technological demonstration, through the implementation of a pilot line based on continuous flow chemistry, allowing the production of this molecule to scale up to levels compatible with pre-clinical and clinical development.
The project aims to create internal capacity for large-scale production of the S072 molecule, reducing dependence on external providers, increasing operational efficiency, and strengthening Sea4Us’ competitiveness. This approach will allow us to demonstrate, in a real-world environment, the technical and economic advantages of continuous flow technology applied to pharmaceutical production, with the potential for replication to other molecules in the company’s pipeline.
