OneStart, is the worldâs largest biotech business plan competition, which seeks to catalyse the commercialisation of Europeâs best life science business strategies.
The 35 selected teams will take part in an intensive âBiotech Business Bootcampâ on February 15th in London, during which workshops will be hosted and each team will also have the opportunity to pitch their idea to, and receive feedback from, a panel of industry professionals. The 35 teams will then work on developing a more detailed business plan, from which the Top 10 will be selected in early April to compete for the Grand Prize.
“OneStart, the worldâs largest biotech business plan competition, is back for a second year and once again looking to catalyse the commercialisation of Europeâs best life science business strategies. This yearâs first-round applications were of exceptional quality, putting the judges under a lot of strain to narrow the pool to only 35 teams. After much thought and deliberation over the past three weeks, we are proud to announce the 2014 OneStart Europe Semi-Finalists.
The teams, (listed in no particular order), will take part in an intensive âBiotech Business Bootcampâ on February 15th in London, during which many of our partners, including: McKinsey & Company, Roche Venture Fund, SR One, Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Covington & Burling, and Forresters, will host workshops. Each team will also have the opportunity to pitch their idea to, and receive feedback from, a panel of industry professionals. These 35 teams will then work on developing a more detailed business plan, from which the Top 10 will be selected in early April to compete for the ÂŁ100K Grand Prize.”
