Covid-19 does not stop us from working to design a better future – Blue Bio Value accelerator is prepared to conduct a fully remote experience if needed to safeguard the well-being of startups, mentors and partners.

Blue Bio Value is a business program dedicated to the blue bioeconomy focused on scaling up marine biobased solutions to global market applications in different industries, resorting to science-based and biotech innovations, while helping to tackle important societal challenges.​

2020 brought its own challenges so this year, Blue Bio Value is doing thing a bit different:
2020 we will start with a new concept for Blue Bio Value – the 1st Edition of Blue Bio Value Ideation Program (from March to April) in many locations in Portugal (check timeline and locations info) and on the second half of the year we will have our 3rd Edition of the Blue Bio Value Acceleration Program.

The 8th edition of BioFIT to be held on December 10th and 11th 2019 in Marseilles will bring together more than 1,300 delegates from 35+ countries.

BioFIT, the leading partnering event in Europe for technology transfer, academia-industry collaborations, early-stage innovation deals and pre-seed, seed and Series A investment rounds in the field of Life Sciences. With the highest attending rate of academics, TTOs and research institutions, BioFIT is the place where academia-industry collaborations get started. Sea4Us was present at MaNaPro, an international conference which is considered a reference in the Marine Natural Products (MNP) field. MaNaPro counts with numerous prestigious scientists from all over the world. From 1 to 5 of September in Peniche, Rui and Sílvia besides learning what is new in the several fields, used the opportunity to network and present some preliminary results accomplished through AlgaRed project to both young and senior researchers.

Sea4us will be present in the European Maritime Day Conference between the 16th and 17th of May.

Importantly, tomorrow (May 17), our marine biotechnologist Sílvia Lino will be presenting a short pitch about Blue4Pain. The pitching session starts at 10h45 and it gathers 8 pioneer entities that present innovative solutions within the blue economy.

So let’s dance along the waves and celebrate all things maritime as well as the gift our seas and oceans provide, from the oxygen we breathe, to the fish we eat, to the inspiration that shapes our culture and moves our bards and poets!

Sea4Us is going to be present at NeuPSIG 2019, an international forum on neuropathic pain that this year takes place in London, from May 9 to May 11, 2019.  This meeting is an excellent opportunity to network and strengthen scientific collaborations. Sea4Us is sending two research scentists – Ana Rosa and Miguel – to present the latest research and developments in understanding the mechanisms, evaluation, prevention and treatment of neuropathic pain.
